I won’t call this one a review actually but I really want everyone to watch this movie, so quickly just summing up the stuff so that I can enjoy a good sleep haha (very tiring day today)

The story of the movie: (Taken from Yahoo)

The film’s story is set in the ancient holy city of Banares. It follows the life of Pandit Chaturvedi, a Hindu Brahmin Priest. Fastidiously following the prayers and rituals prescribed by the ancient Hindu scriptures has been the uninterrupted pattern of his life from dawn to dusk each day.

An abandoned infant comes into Pandit Chaturvedi’s life and home. He adopts the child and names him Kartikey.

Bringing up Kartikey as a good Brahmin fills the Pandit’s life with joy and laughter, till the day Pandit Chaturvedi is forced by religion to turn Kartikey away. The memories of the four years of Kartikey’s childhood challenge the very core of Pandit Chaturvedi’s belief in the 4000 years old way of life.

The movie is galore for the brilliant acting. Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak Kapur and Krish Parekh (the child that they had adopted) are just superb. The music is very good, specially the song Bhaee Bhor sung by Sonu Nigam.

The movie is a must watch for all Moral Police guys. I would rate the movie 4/5. The movie won’t do much financially but I am sure it will be claimed very well critically.
