I had mentioned about their customer support earlier also and this time commenting on the same again…
I am using their Savings and Current account, their online banking service is very good, I have never faced any problems as such…you can call me as one of their Happy Customers…
They have recently introduced Card 2 Card facility for current account holders (it’s been there for few months for savings account holders)
I was eagerly waiting for this service, me too lazy of writing one cheque and going to HSBC drop down center and dropping the cheque…
So I used the Card 2 Card transfer option….I generally transfer the amount 3-4 days before the due date so I did the same this time also…
I checked my online credit card account on HSBC website after 3-4 days and was surprised to see that, they had not received my payment…I was really ashamed because I do not prefer paying the amount after due date, prefer clearing all the amount before the due date…
I called up HSBC customer support to check whether there is any technical problem from their side or not….but there was nothing wrong, she told me that they have not received the amount till now…
I was worried because it was the last date for the payment…
I checked my ICICI account and found that, the amount I had transferred was rejected and no reason was specified…
I called up ICICI customer support, explained him about the matter, he said, sir, I can see the amount as rejected…I was like…yes that I too know but tell me the reason…
He said, reason is not specified…in short he was telling me whatever I already knew….
He opened a ticket and promised that someone from their side will get back to me in 48 hours….this was happened on 1st of June, today it is 5th June and it seems that, their 48 hours complete when customers reminds them after 4-5 days…
I am gonna call them up tomorrow to remind that, they have forgotten reply to my ticket….
Sometimes I feel that, their customer support is like customer support of some rural banks….the only difference is, people here talk in English and politely but the end result is same….
Your problem is not solved
P.S.: About the card payment, I sorted it out with HSBC, I dropped the cheque in their drop down box on that day and they aussred me that, I will not have to pay any fine 🙂
Hi all victims of ICICI poor LOOTNE KE LIYE “HUM HAI NA” 8 to 8
I had opened salary account with ICICI bank in March 2004, It was from the then company TVC Skyshop. I left the company after 2 months. In december 2005 bank deducted Rs 827 as I did not maintained Quarterly Average Balance. My impression was, as a salary account we can keep balance zero. When I contact them they told me that if you will not deposit a salary in the salary account for atleast 6 months the said account will be converted to reguler account where you have to maintain quarterly average balance of Rs. 5000/-. I again mailed them asking why they didnt informed me before deducting so much charges, instead of answering they made my balance zero and deducted further available balance of Rs.282.

I encourage all the victims of the ICICI bank’s poor service to goto this link and file complaints in your respective areas.

HAH! You think ICICI Bank is famous for its poor customer service? Think again – here is what I had to recently go through with Citibank to get them to open my ERA (Employee Reimbursement Account) for crediting expenses related to my work. Read on the e-mail trail. (Name of my company and other personal details have been disguised, but the name of the Citibank Representative and her e-mail ID is FOR REAL! Her name is Seema Jagdish and she the leading poor-customer-service-agent in Bangalore)

Subject: RE: My Citibank Suvidha/ ERA account
Seema – I am surprised when you say that you have recieved my ERA Application Form only on Saturday 15-Apr-2006. I had dispatched the ERA Application form by internal courier on Wednesday 05-Apr-2006 itself.
Also, if providing one ID proof is a requirement, why was I not communicated about this at the time you sent the ERA Application form to me? That way, I could have dispatched the filled ERA Application form along with the necessary ID documents and avoided this needless further delay. That way, even you could have avoided this additional communication.
Another point is – you had told me that the ERA account was not opened along with my Suvidha account because that ERA option was not complete in the original account opening form. As I recall, I HAD filled in the request for ERA account along with the original application form. But even if we assume that if I did not fill in the ERA section, is it not your responsibility to check the application form and contact the MyWorkPlace Employee if any section is incompletely filled or missing? You know that every MyWorkPlace Employee must have a Suvidha Account AND an ERA account, right? So then why was it not pointed at the first instance itself that the ERA account information was missing? Why was a supposedly incomplete form sent to Chennai for processing resulting in only my Suvidha Account being created without creating any ERA account?
It has been over a month that I have been diligently following up with you (as witnessed in this email trail) and yet I have not been able to push my pain and have not been successful in getting an ERA account. I have repeatedly mentioned that I have over Rs. 100,000 in pending payments from MyWorkPlace (for my House Security Deposit Advance and initial stay expenses) – but that apparently has not been successful in communicating the importance or urgency of booking my ERA account asap.
Are you going to be accountable for the over one thousand rupees lost in potential interest? Will you be accountable for the pains I had to take to arrange the amount to pay the Security Deposit and the Initial Stay Expense credit card bill from my personal account? Will you be able to compensate for the time and effort I have spent in follow ups?

I am interested in knowing the status of my ERA account as I have over Rs. 1 lac in expense reimbursement pending with MyWorkPlace since over three weeks. Please let me know what would be the best way of knowing the status.

Dear Mr. Iyer,
Thank you for writing to us.
We have registered a request in this regarding against Service Request SR1019991652.
Hi,
I had applied for a credit card on the 06 of March this year. As per your website, there is no reason why I dont fulfill all the eligibility criterias. After reporting that I haven’t received any notifications after applying, I was called by your representative who gave me a story that my signatures don’t match and asked me to fill up the form again and give all the documents again which I did not do. Recently I was called by a different representative who said my credit card has been approved and asked about my permanent address. I don’t understand how many times I have to tell you that I being the only earning member in the family, have my family settled here. Just because I am a native of Madras, it doesn’t mean I need to own a house there. I told her that the address where I am presently residing is my permanent address. I have been working in Wipro for the last two years and if you check my bank statements, there hasn’t been ONE SINGLE checque that has bounced. I have a postpaid Hutch connection for the last two years and you can even confirm from them if you have the sources that I have never failed to pay the bills on time. Today I checked the website by trying out different combinations of phone numbers and PIN codes and got the message:
APPLICATION STATUS QUERY (Phone number : 4354382. DOB: 06101985. PIN Code: 201301)
Sorry, we regret to inform you that your application for ICICI Bank Credit Card has been declined.
It is utterly disappointing especially when I am a respectable citizen, paying my taxes and bills on time. I haven’t had an unapproved leave ever in my professional life. ANYTHING I apply for such as PAN, Passport, Postpaid connection, etc have been delivered to me before the scheduled time. Despite having proved my identity and my credibility, you rejected my credit card application when it is your business partners who call me up everyday and persuade me to apply for a credit card.
I would insist upon knowing what made you reject my credit card application and what is it that made you think I will be an irresponsible customer.
Krishnan
Hi,
ICICI Bank is one of the worst Bank I have banked with. The staff is very stupid and the customer care excecutives are the most dumb guys I have come cross.
If anybody wants to transfer money to India, remit2india.com is the best option, you compare yourself for the exchange rate + transaction rates, offered exchange rates are higher than any other service provider with less transaction fee. I am using it since 3 years and upto now there is no problem. Additionally, you can check the status of your transaction through their 24/7 customer support thats too in chat. Dont spend time and money with any other service providers. Even HDFC bank is now providing money transfer thats too through remit2india. So remit2india is a better deal. Its one of the divisons of Times of India and Times of Money.

Dear Madam,
I Kavita Sharma have a credit card with your bank, Card Number xxxx and I have been holding ICICI card from last three years. If you were to check my record I have always made my payments on time and have always been responsible in my use of the card.
Last year in the month of April, I received a call from your customer care executive for taking an ICICI Lombard Policy, I was informed that only 179-180 rupees would be charged to me every month for this policy and it would directly be debited from my ICICI credit card. Since I have been a regular payer I realized that if I would be paying you in time I wouldn’t have to pay service tax & interest for taking this policy.
But when my may-june statement reflected a debit of Rs. 3774/- I called up the customer care executive and informed them to cancel my policy immediately. The reference number given to me for cancellation was 286903. I even received a call from your Mumbai office to know the reason for my cancellation of policy. Citing my reason for cancellation as misinformation I requested them to cancel the policy. I was assured that my policy would be cancelled and I have to destroy the card, which was sent to me with the policy.
After almost a year for my request for cancellation I realized that my policy has not been cancelled. I had cleared all my dues according to me but when my February 2006 statement reflected amount due of Rs. 179, I once again called your customer care executive and upon probing I realized that ICICI bank has been continuing my policy and charging me for it. Infact I have been paying Service Tax, Interest on EMI and EMI. I was very upset and asked them to refund my money and cancel the policy. Issuing a new complaint number 113643, I was assured I would not face any problem and my money would be refunded and policy would be cancelled.
I received the statement of March where my EMI interest & Service Tax was reversed but the Principal amount of Rs. 3774/- or EMI which has been deducted from my Credit Card was not reversed. I again called up your executives and asked them to reverse my principal amount. I was once again assured that the same would be done and I don’t have to pay Rs. 2913.42 reflected in the statement and the rest should be paid. I deducted the said principal amount and paid the entire remaining amount to save Interest and Service tax. A new reference number 710378 was again given. Infact this time I even received and SMS from ICICI Bank on March 11, 2006 with SR1018553892 that Merchant EMI Transaction of Rs. 3774 for my credit card has been cancelled.
I received my April statement, again showing the principal amount and Interest on the whole amount along with service tax. I called up the customer care and your manager told me that I would have to pay this amount as it is cancellation charges and also the policy was not cancelled because I didn’t send it in writing.
I have been quiet harassed as it is, never during all my conversations with your executives was I informed that I have to send a written request for cancellation of the policy. You being multinational have been trying to swindle me out of my hard earned money. I would not pay ICICI bank any amount reflected in the April Statement. I am quiet harassed and upset I would like you to cancel my credit card also.
Therefore I request you to kindly look into the matter and if my problem is not been solved with in a week then as advised by my lawyer I would have no option but to take a legal action.
Looking forward to your early response

WHY IN THE WORLD YOU GUYS POST YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER? THIS IS NOT ICICI SITE AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANYONE
ICICI bank fucking customers money. I have send some amount to my brother who was staying in inida through my net banking A/c last month. it was amaze to hear that still after 1 month money was not money did not credited in the account. and it was debited from mine..
I appy personal Loan ICICI bank. But ICICI executives and ICICI bank are give wrong Cheque for my Loan amount.so i can’t use this cheques. I already complain ICICI customer service, but still yet no responce and ICICI also deduct money from my account without giving loan amount. ICICI bank is worst service for all Loan A/c and Credit card A/c
You know ICICI Bank has a unique way of harassing customers, they will never acknowledge your credit card payments. They have issued instructions to all their offices to not acknowledge any credit card payment by cheque/ drfat
And even though you may have deposited your cheque much befor the due date , you will see a hefty delayed charges and penal interset in your next staement.
Even complaints to RBI are of no use, It is understood that ICICI has a unique way of bribing officials like giving them prepaid credit cards with bogus details ( Take out cash from ATM and throw the card) , Taking Officials on foreign trips like Pataya, Bangkok in the name of Training/ Seminar where you will find a great Babe as your room partner.. How some one will listen to customers complaints if they have such luxurious treatment from the management of ICICI
Hi all,
For once I have really got ICICI by their b**ls’. I have a loan running for my car from them and the EMI is cleared through ECS every month. Keeping in view their customer care services which are F***l All – they told me to either close my account or mantain the quartely balance of 5 grand. I told them I was more then willing to close my account as I already have my accounts in other banks but ICICI will have to forget about the car loan. This really bugged the two B***hs’ at the top. They agreed to let my account continue as it was and as I wanted to. So now its great – I keep about Rs 250/- to 300/- in this account and put in the excat amount for the EMI on the 30th. of each month by cash.
Will post an exciting story with certain tips on how to finger ICICI and get them to literally beg you to stop harassing them. I will do this tonight itself so all those who have been harrased can return the favour to the so called Indian MNC bank! After all “Hum hai na”. Get on the net tomorrow and read away and then get cracking on hitting them where it really hurts,
For the Dehlites,
You ought to see the senior management posted here in Delhi. I literally abused the Head North Regional Manager by telling him that he was worthy only with a job at ICICI and it would be impossible for him and the two others anywhere else. I did this in public and in view of all. The guy did not even have the guts to revert on my comments about his “loyalty” to the bank. If I were in his place I would have given hell but then they all are a dumb lot. They just sit and stare like zombies when you tell them stories of what is going on in their branches as they honestly do not know. This is the state of affairs of the senior management so how can one blame the lousy customer care services?
Please await the next phase of this above comment. Will be there for you all very very soon.

Hi!
I took home loan against Form No.7773128468. I had received the loan for purchase of land and submitted the property papers to your representative at Lucknow where i bought the property. Now, I want to go for constrcution work. At the time of taking photo copies of property papers I could not take photocopy of the back side of agreement where issuing authority puts signature with stamp. Because of this I am not able to get approval of my drawing for further construction work. I wrote a letter no.VNS/CON/ICICI dated 05.04.06 to your Lucknow office 5th Ground Floor, Shagun Palace, Sapru Marg Lucknow. Till date I have not received any response and till date none of your representative ever enquired about the homeloan status and other related benefits. I have come across very bad experience.
You are requested to kindly look into the matter urgenty.
