It seems that I have to deal with these people every other day for some or other reasons.
I had bad experiences with ICICI customer support earlier but I just used to ignore it…coz sometimes it happens..
I wanted to apply for a credit card 6-7 months back…As I already have account with them so I just called them up and asked for credit card eligibility…They took all my details and told me that their sales representative would call me up…2 days, 3, days, 1 week….no one cared to call me back…I called them up again couple of times, I got same response…
Finally I got fed up with them, called up HSBC…their person called me back in a day and I finally got a credit card after providing all the required documents and all…
Few months after that I got a call from ICICI so called “Sales Representative”, asking “Sir do you need a credit card? We will give you 1 year for free, no service charges” I was like, dude just f**k off. When I needed the credit card none of you guys called me up and when I have one, You are asking me to have one more….
2nd Experience….
It is very recent experience, I want to apply for a personal loan so I just called up ICICI People first as I have 2 accounts with them (Savings and Current Account – For my Company).
I was expecting that there should not be any problem in getting loan from them since I already have 2 accounts with them and enough work experience…

This was the worst experience I have ever revived in my life, they give so much of wrong info to customers…
2 people from same organization give me different information about same thing…
I do not remember the name of first person but 2nd was female named Rupa
I was pretty impressed with ICICI that, their customer support is so quick and all..but last couple of bad experiences proved that…they are quick in picking up the phone but real bad in handling the situation after that…
Where HSBC and HDFC kept me waited for sometime…but my queries were solved…Most probably I will go with HSBC only…
So moral of the story…
If you guys are planning to take loan or credit card then keep one thing is mind that “ICICI is never gonna help me…”

Wanted advise. A person who is a customert in ur bank, and i have deposited cash (installments)in his account (taken a loan but no agrrement etc was signed you could say its just a help).the thing is i have lost/missplaced the aclnowledgement receipt of payments done to this person. i m not a account holder in your bank so i have done cash payments.since the receipts are lost the person denies about the payments made to him by me. please advise what i should as his bank statement doesnt show the transaction done by me in my name as they are cash payments.

Icici customer care is horrible. they say ur approx. wait is 4 minutes, it takes over half an hour and then the call gets terminated. finally i reach to a operator somehow and told her that my credit card(visa one) has not reached, but the American express is here, even before she listens to me completely she says that its American express account and transfers my call to a place , there they say that American express u already have and visa missing and let me tranfer ur call to visa depat. I am on hold for 30 mins and call gets terminated again. Its SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!! DO U GUYS HAVE HIRED HSC PASSED CANDIDATES OR GRADUATE FAIL OUTS?? AND THEIR ENGLISH IS JUST HORRBLE!!!

I have an ICICI bank account. I don’t ever recommed ICICI bank for anyone in this world. Not even my enemy. Greatest suckers in the world.
The worst part is the toll free customer service. They are really customer scarers. You cannot talk to anyone who know anything about banking. The junkies just read what is in their monitor and would not transfer to banking officer. There is no real use calling them. If you have a bank in US or in India, you can go in and talk to an officer in the bank. You have their phone number or way to contact them. With ICICI bank NRI service, you talk different junkie every time and knows nothing about you or what you want. You have to repeat what you want to every one of them you talk to, to get one little thing done. They would never provide a direct phone number. What do they think; NRIs steal their phone number and steal all of their possessions?
Oh, don’t ask about how friendly they are. Customer service…. They will ask you how many kilos of customer server for a Rupee. Rude, no appology. You have to provide all your details to every one of those junkies you talk to, but no contact information about how to talk to the same person next time or someone consistenly. With all the employee turnaround they have, you just waste your time.
When you go to bank in US, how nice is the customer service. Or even when you call. In India, if you are an NRI, you will be greeted by the branch manager. ICICI NRI Service, upside down. You got to beg and need to be nice to them. It is your money, they make profit out of it. Guys, think about before you want to do anything with ICICI bank NRI service. If you are in India, and go to branch directly, it is like a real bank. Not the same with NRI service from overseas.
when they give me my WELCOME KIT imeadiatly after my subbmission of new aacount form, I said to myself that what a bank, what a fast service.
But in next what thay tell with in 4 days your account will activated.
After 4 days they tell me just wait 4 days.
Again After 4 days what they tell we log a complaint on your behalf, since we pass on your form to activation departement, or u also log a complaint to customer care.
Then after 3 days again i visited icici bank

Bcoz it does’nt know how to treat the customers.
1. I got a call from ICICI and he said you got some offer as you are a good credit card user.
He asked to join in their Insurance. I said no as I have already other Policies. He asked me other than LIC you have any private policies. I said yes I have Birla policy. He suddenly saying loudly ICICI is giving lot of services and you are using our credit card facilities and why you are going for other Policies.
I really shocked who the hell this guy to ask me.
I annoyed and replaid, my money I put anywhere who the hell you to ask me, b*****d.
2. The persons in the credit card departments are Rowdies.
I had 3 ICICI Credit cards and as I have lot of interests on the 3 cards I paid half of the amount by taking personal loan. Later I thought to make settlement on the remaing balance. I asked many times to give settlement. But they said no. Finally one day they have freezed all the amount from my Savings account for the credit cards. I called them and asked why you had freezed all my savings account, they said for the credit card payment. I asked them ok how you freeze all my amount, you can freeze min. amount that I have to pay not all the amount. And all my amount has gone to credit card payment with out leaving 1Re. for me. ICICI people are B*****ds.

I had applied for a Credit Card through MS Priya Bhardwaj who had had call me for this. I had given all my necessary docs. to their representative and they assured me for getting the same within 15-20 days. I had given up these docs. to thme on Dec. 1st week but even yet afer one month I had not received any credit card from ICICI. In the mean while I had got all the verification calls from ICICI, people from ICICI had visited my house also for verification but all in vain. The mobile no. of MS Priya Bhardwaj (9958095930) from which I had received all these calls is also not working.

If you ask me to give Most Worst Custom Support Serive award the I would give it to ICICI… Their service is always sucks…
1. Whenever you call them, IVR says ‘Your call will be taken approximately in 6 minutes”.. (so you have to ready to loose 6 rupees from your pocket)…evenafter 6 minutes..it still says to wait…may be after 10 or 12 mins, your call will be handled..
THIS HAPPENS REGULARAY NOT ONCE IN A WHILE..
So to call them everytime..you need to spend atleast 20 rupees from pocket..
2. They say ‘you can generate password online’ but in realtiy you can not do that…it simply says ‘your ID has been not enabled to generate password online’…
If you call them regarding this..again you need to wait for 10-12 mins in the call and at last they will tell CURRENTLY APPLICATION ARE DOWN..
Still there are more worst experiences with ICICI…Better they close the bank…

My NRI account with ICICI has been locked out for years. The reams of paperwork I sent to make the account operable have not even been acknowledged. The account is still dormant. This is a status that the RBI designed to help customers by preventing fraudulent use of inactive accounts by insiders at the bank. But the banks have cleverly used that to lockout customers from their own accounts. There is no way to use the money, close the account, other than by going through the tedium of overseas mail to their Mumbai headquarters which anyhow will never be acknowledged much less addressed. If you think this has all the marks of a fraudulent system, you are probably right.
Their phone banking is a joke, an illustration of how you can have lots of people at work and still do nothing for the customer. Without reservation, their customer service ranks as the worst among all the banks I have dealt with. They also deserve the highest marks on bureaucracy, incompetence, outdated modes and methods that make life unpleasant for the customer. Perhaps this is the true mission of the ICICI Customer Service Department: Make life hell for the customer so they will never, ever make the mistake of contacting customer service.
On the rare occasions that I happen to visit their branch in India, the expectation is that I have to fall on their feet for them to provide any service to me — for the simple mistake I made years ago by opening an account with their bank.
Save yourselves a lot of grief. Stay away from ICICI.
